Houbigant Paris

Today we would like to focus on a brand which is new in store. Founded in 1775, Houbigant Paris is a brand that combines the French perfumery know-how and their new (and old) collections are elegant, contemporary, refreshing and alluring. 

Ambre des Abysses and Ambre Rubis are their most popular offerings but one that flies under the radar but is very well excuted is Tabac Nomade. It opens with an earthy tobacco note but underpinning it is the sweetness from the tonka bean and vanilla. It is masterfully blended with a spicy touch. The recent collections have been created by master perfumers Antoine Lie and Luca Maffei so the quality and execution is guaranteed. 

Most recently, in 2025, Tonka Sublime launched. The scent blends creamy vanilla, warm almond, and subtle spice to create irresistible allure. On skin this warms up beautifully and the spices are there to magically contradict with the creamy tonka bean.

Of course we cannot overlook the first fougere ever created, Fougere Royale. First introduced in 1882 by Paul Parquet, Fougère Royale completely revolutionized the world of perfumes and established modern perfumery as it exists today. Fougère Royale was the first “fougère” (or fern-­like) perfume ever created, establishing a completely new fragrance family which still remains today the most popular family in men’s fragrances.The formula has been re-worked masterfully in collaboration with the perfumer Rodrigo Flores-­Roux, head perfumer at Givaudan.
